Computer Arts Projects tutorial
In February we started sampling the Lolita print for Nicky Snow which has been such a great challenge, and one we've really enjoyed rising to. The way this print journeyed from it's original form as a small 3d collage piece to a limited paper edition makes for great news and inspiring reading.
We approached Computer Arts Projects Magazine with the idea of doing a technical piece focussing on how illustration can be turned into screen print. Yet again, timing was of the essence and the proposal fitted perfectly with their forthcoming issue on Illustration.
The commission involved us writing an in-depth 23 step tutorial as well as supplying all the images.
The tutorial will spill out over several colourful pages of the May '09 issue and should wake the world up to the wonders of screen print. Contributing in this way has encouraged us to get more involved with the broader industry and to share our knowledge.
